HTC has been making smart phones for a while now, and with each new generation of phones it seems they get a little better. This current generation is no exception with the HTC Touch Pro 2. The Touch Pro 2 features elegant styling with a flip-out keyboard that makes the phone look like a small laptop.
The generous 3.6 inch LCD touch screen is about the biggest size they could fit without making the phone any bigger. The screen has a resolution of 480 x 800 WVGA. The screen tilts when open to allow for better viewing angles and less glare.
The Touch Pro 2 uses Windows Mobile 6.1. This allows for virtually limitless options for 3rd party applications to be loaded onto your phone.
HTC included a professional grade speaker phone in the Touch Pro 2. The phone uses Straight Talk technology which is a fancy word for voice cancelling technology. This technology makes sure that you can hear and be heard at the same time, while keeping feedback down.
The built-in speakerphone and advanced emailing features make this phone a must have for the businessman or woman. Calling someone back from an email requires the push of only one button. You no longer need to navigate through menus to return the urgent phone call. The slide-out keyboard features a tactile QWERTY keyboard making it easy to compose text messages and emails.
HTC gathered the technology that business people need the most and combined them into one phone. To date there hasn’t been a phone with the conference calling and emailing capabilities like the Touch Pro 2.
While pricing for the new Touch Pro 2 isn’t available yet, it will most likely be comparable in price to the Apple iPhone and Blackberry devices. This makes the phone a pretty good value for the always traveling businessman.
The HTC Touch Pro 2 combines great email and messaging capabilities with excellent entertainment options in one simple device.
